Swami Radhikananda Saraswati hails from a very noble family and is the daughter of the renowned historian Padmabhushan Setu
Madhavrao Pagadi. Swamiji lived the life of a settled householder with her husband Flt. Lft. Ashok Dhavale, a MIG Pilot in the Indian Air Force and their only son Kaustubh. But the 1971 Bangladesh war brought a change in Swami Radhikananda's life. Flt .Lft Dhavale's sacrifice for the nation turned H.H. more towards spiritualism. While continuing her duties as a mother. Swamiji plunged into spiritual 'sadhana' and founded the Siddha yoga Ashram in 1987.Today the Ashram is an abode where hundreds of seekers on the spiritual path find solace. With her compassion for mankind, Swamiji convinces a seeker on the importance of doing spiritual 'sadhana' and at the same time encourages her/him to lead a sound family life. Swami Radhikananda's contribution to the society in her own way has indeed received acknowledgment. In 1997 H.H. has been conferred with the title 'Dharmalankar'. In 1999, Indian Biological Research Foundation, Nagpur honored Swamiji as 'Eminent Personality Of India. We ashramities take pride in being the devotees of our revered Guru.
