Ashram News Letter

Dear Readers,
I should inform all of you that the Newsletter is designed by Mr. A M Shirali whom all of you are familiar through receiving of E-mails. He has mainly contributed towards of entire typing of “Dnyaneshwari Once again”.
Thank you Shirali.-------- Swami Radhikananda

In our news- letter 2, I had written about Gorakshanath. His philosophy is magnanimous, if we decide to study the entire study it may take us years, but some aspects of his are very practical for use, like today we know the use of Fengshui charms, Gorakshanath’s Shabari charms were equally powerful and can be used in today’s times for a lot of practical needs. These charms could be given too, but indeed not through news letter so instead I shall also state some simple Shabri Mantra for our day to day need. Here are some mantras for readers to use them if they feel the need. Say for people who wish to earn money this will be the Mantra—

Paran Gurudev

Om Namo Bhagavate,Sree Sharabheshwaraya Pakshirajaya ,Navanathaya,
Om Namo Bhagavate  Im Rum Kim Vam Gam Nam Vam Krum Va Dini Swaha.

Readers do write these in Devnagiri script and the words such as Im Vam etc will be in Marathi with a dot on it. If you recite the mantra only 8 times every day you shall make money.

Then there are mantras for success too. I shall give one such here for all those who need.

Om OOM (pronounce this like ooum) Lim Shrim Hoom Phat Swaha

This could be recited only 5 times every day for success in life.

Gorakshanath lived when India had foreign rule and people needed such charms to protect themselves or fend for themselves. Indeed such mantras were used then. Since our Kundalini Yoga will have a paper on Gorakshanath I wanted you all to know the significance of his practical philosophy. Indeed stories from Navnath are mystical.

Often I am asked how come we believe in such stories, remember readers we Indians are blessed by Saints through their teachings to believe in things though unproved scientifically. Science is based on proof, and follows the Truth here as Faith creates the proof and comes before it. This is the contribution of saints of India. Similar to such Mantras are Yantra, another major contribution of Nath Philosophy.  Just as Fengshui charms work today Nath charms could work too.  Most of these charms are numbers written in particular order. Numbers are symbolic representatives of 3 elements, earth, water, air, space and fire. One more Mantra I shall write here for health. If on is unwell repeat this mantra to recover-
Sam Saam Sim Seem Sum Soom Seim Saim Som Saum Sam Samha followed by Vam VAAm Vim Veem Vum Voom Veim Vaim Vom Vaum Vam Vamha.
Readers do not think that I am trying to challenge your intelligence by giving such know how, this is only to make you see how varied and vast is Indian Philosophy and needs to be studied promoted  preserved .For if untold then people may hardly realize the depth of our vedic know how.

Today I also wish to state the significance of Kumbhak. Most of us play with cards, and when in hand some of us try to build castles .When in action our lips get sealed and breathing stops for fear of breaking the card castle. This indicates that any creativity depends upon minimized breathing as good as Kumbhak. On the contrary if we breathe heavily or at random as defined like huh  huh then destruction occurs. This is the main reason behind Kumbhak in Pranayam exercises. We have done sessions upon these and I am sure our 100 news letter readers know about Kumbhak (A step after inhale or exhale to stay without breathing for a few seconds.)
Dear friends a few days ago I was asked for my portfolio by Anarde people who sponsor various projects and I tried to analyze what has been the main aim of the ashram. Here is a brief activity record for new members.

1) Today family ties are not very emotionally supportive to all, and hence people feel hurt or unwanted. Our ashram provides them with a family feeling. To most of the lonely members, our ashram brings a smile.2) we encourage people to complete their education and stand upon their own feet to earn. 3)  We try and get placement through contacts for those in need. 4) We have free membership for ashramites and we offer them a Library 0f 3000 books and encourage most of them to read classics or Biographies of Saints to give them inner strength.5) We celebrate functions and prepare Prasaad of the choice of elders or poor so that they get a chance to feel cherished and loved.6) We offer milk in Ashram so that those who do not drink milk at home do get a cup thrice a week, and indeed much more. We shall now be asking Anarde’s to set up Computers in ashram for ashramites to learn. Let us see.
